Megan Fox Lists Off All the Plastic Surgeries She's Done Over the Years

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors

Megan Fox is opening up about her cosmetic journey, eager to clarify the rumors versus the actual procedures she's had done over the years.

The actress had a candid discussion with podcaster Alex Cooper on the March 20 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, revealing the work she hasn't and won't get done: "I'll never have any fat done, I'm a very lean person that doesn't have enough body fat or fat in my face, so I'll only ever put fat in, I will never be taking fat out. Which leads me to I've never had any liposuction, or body contouring or anything like that." She did reveal, however, undergoing surgery for a rhinoplasty at age 23 and three breast augmentations, influenced by her life stages and motherhood.

But the Transformers' star's resistance towards surgery isn't without reason. "I'm very afraid of dying under general anesthesia," she confesses, highlighting her body's adverse reactions to being put under. "I don't take surgery lightly and therefore I have not had many of them because of that." Yet, she openly discusses having filler and botox, along with one mysterious treatment she opted to keep secret, hinting at both its uniqueness and effectiveness. "It was really good, and it's not a known plastic surgery, people don't even really know about it. I wanted it really badly."

The 37-year-old is very introspective when it comes to plastic surgery discourse, particularly the shame around it."I don't understand the point of shaming people for getting stuff done," she said. The mom of three advocates for informed and safe choices, going on to say, "'I'm not encouraging anyone to do anything crazy. Like I said, you need to be very safe and very careful when you do any of this stuff. But it's a very weird thing to shame people for."

For Fox, all of her cosmetic decisions have been empowering, leading to increased comfort and confidence in her own skin. "The more that I've taken control of my body and done the things that I've always wanted to do, the more comfortable I am in my body. And the more freedom I have."
