How to install a Projector Neatly

In today's world the Screen size has gone from 21" during the CRT TV to above 120" in Projection Systems. It is the time when Projectors are most affordable and the picture resolution is going from Full HD to 4k at a fast rate.

Projectors when installed at home, there are certain ways in which you can plan to keep the Ceiling neat and clean.

There are two ways to do it.

One is install a nice looking mount that compliments your decor as well look at the cable management system so as to avoid any loose wires hanging after the installation.

The second and more efficient way is install a projector lift which can completely hide your projector when not in use. 

When using a Projector Mount or Lift, below are the points to ensure for a smooth Installation

1. During the cabling of site, ensure the mount is installed before anything else.
2. Pull the cables from the mount till the bottom leaving some extra cable length.
3. Use two HDMI cables and additional CAT 6 cables for future use incase of cable failure.
4. Try using Fiber Optic Active cables as they are sleek and carry 4k data easily at full Frame rate of 60 FPS
5. Keep all cap covers and cable covers safely for post installation
6. Test the cables before the final closing of false ceiling.

Projector lifts make life much easier because of the simple fact that projector is hidden when not in use and it gives a James Bond type feeling of revealing the hidden surprise. 

4k Projectors are now accessible to masses with prices getting more affordable. The size and weight of a Good quality Projectors is Big, so the Chinese Mounts and Lifts are virtually incompatible.

To check the compatibility you need to check the weight and dimensions of the projector. For fixed Projector mount it has to extremely sturdy or else the position of your Screen Image will shift over time if the mount is incompatible.

It is even more critical if a lift is used, most lifts will not provide you the guarantee of shift in image due to Up and Down mechanism. It was observed that most lifts shifted the image to almost 4" in a years time during a recent study on Projector lifts.

So buy Lifts that have local service support and the manufacturer or distributor can provide onsite assistance incase of such issues. It is advised to use Brands that are providing longer warranty periods for having peace of mind after you bought the product.
