Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) have always garnered attention for their unorthodox approach to romance—drinking each other’s blood? Not for everyone. But while the last we heard of their on-again/off-again relationship was that they were very much on, Fox has now confirmed that things are still complicated.
Appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Fox revealed to host Alex Cooper that the pair had decided to end their engagement. She didn’t allude to when this occurred, but as for the current status of their relationship, she admitted that it was difficult to explain.
“[MGK] is what I refer to as being my twin soul, and there will always be a tether to him no matter what,” she said. “I cannot say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain.”
Fox expressed some understanding of why her relationship with the musician “can be confusing” and “interesting” to the public and her fans but ultimately doesn’t feel the need to provide any more information.
Fox and MGK were first romantically linked in June 2020 after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. Then, in January 2022, Kelly proposed to Fox with a custom two-stone engagement ring fitted with thorns.
Sources recently told Us Weekly that the couple currently has “no plans” for a wedding “anytime soon,” but that doesn’t mean that the relationship is over.
“Friends around them don’t see them completely ending the relationship as they truly change their minds every day,” the source told the outlet, adding that the actress “hasn’t been wearing her ring.”
According to the source, trust is a major factor within their relationship woes.
“Megan has a hard time trusting MGK, and knows it’s her own insecurities.”
The pair are “together, but not all the way,” a second insider told Us. “Megan and MGK have a very toxic relationship.”
