Pinaceae

Picea pungens 'Snowkiss' Picea pungens 'Snowkiss'

A broad pyramidal tree bearing a strong resemblance to ‘Hoopsii’. Usually grows to around 6 m tall but in exceptional cases, this tree can reach 10 m. The branching is dense, regular and more or less horizontal. The bark is grey-brown, later turning black-grey and deeply scaly. The young twigs are orange-brown. The stiff and spiky needles are intense light blue-grey and very striking. The long cylindrical cones are green first, turning yellowish brown when ripening. A lovely shape that is suitable for use in modern designs. ‘Snowkiss’ has few demands as to soil, as long as it is fertile enough and moist, requires a sunny position. It tolerates slightly more drought than other species and can withstand an urban climate and air pollution.
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2024.
