Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa)

A signature tree of the inland Northwest, the ponderosa is well-adapted to dry, as well as moderately moist, conditions. The ponderosa pine tends to grow tall, straight and quickly. It’s orange-tinted, puzzle-piece bark is singular in the region.
