This, that and the other thing.

@nocandnc

Basically anything to do with anime, manga and pairings I love. Probably.

I have a couple of varying topics I’d like to discuss regarding this series, but for one thing,

It seems like all Dhampirs have yellow/gold eyes in-series.

A fun middle ground between the red eyes of a vampire and the more natural colors of humans (for the most part.) Yellow moons are at times seen as something supernatural, but not nearly as foreboding as a blood red moon. Indeed, they’re even seen as something positive in many instances, much like Dhampirs that can be a valuable asset in taking down dangerous vampires. I wonder if the author had these sorts of connections in mind when designing them?

Another interesting note is that Dhampirs have been described as ‘humans with vampire abilities’, with some having average lifespans and others being more long-lived. Judging by the author’s ‘30 years later’ tweets, Handa seems to be the latter - interesting indeed. I wonder what the deciding factor is? My personal theory is that Dhampirs who regularly consume blood capsules and make use of their abilities may end up living longer by way of keeping the vampire side especially active, but it could just be luck.

And who’s luckier than Handa, that karma dodging jackass!? We love him for it!!

Well, I’m just rambling. Looking forward to more crazy Handa in S2, and excited to see the serious Mikazuki be made a fool in the nonsense city of Shin Yokohama.

Hi I just wanted to ask if you could share what website your using to read the vampire dies in no time manga im very interested in it and want to get into :)

Hi there!

I’ve only been reading the raw Japanese for now so I’m not sure how useful you’ll find it. I prefer to download volumes as they become available from places like Nyaa si most of the time. If I’m dying to read the latest chapters that come out weekly, that varies month to month. Lately I’ve been reading on manga1000, but it watermarks items and I can’t guarantee your safety from pop ups so proceed with caution.

Of course, I recommend buying the actual series whenever possible! Why doesn’t this have an official English release yet!?

Draluc XD

Favorite thing about them: He still has so much poise and swagger despite dying at the drop of a hat, it's honestly inspiring.

Least favorite thing about them: At least in the manga, he has attempted to get people drunk or hypnotize them into giving him blood - not very gentlemanly of you sir!! But these plans always fall through. If they were to go smoothly, I choose to believe he'd back out willingly in the end.

Favorite line: "I'm the vampire lord, Draluc. I'm not afraid of other inferior vampires!" this line always hits me because you think he's just boasting, but he really is on another level when it counts.

brOTP: Handa/Draluc, I love seeing them team up.

OTP: Draluc/Hinaichi, my beloved!!

nOTP: Eeeeh... aaahhh... it's not like a NOOOOtp but I really can't get into Ronaldo/Draluc romantically at all. Like. Nah. It's a nahtp.

Random headcanon: Less of a Draluc headcanon and more of a general vampire headcanon, but to turn someone into a vampire he has to mentally will it to happen. So just because he bites someone, doesn't mean they'll turn. And on the flipside, it's possible to accidentally turn someone if he's biting them to feed and his thoughts drift in that direction.

Unpopular opinion: Him throwing John is OK actually, John is a madlad.

Song I associate with them: Oh dang, that's a hard one... okay, this is gonna sound weird but 'From Hell with Love' by Beast in Black. I don't know why but I always think of angsty DraHina from his perspective when it plays, sorry that's the best I got!!

Favorite picture of them:

fffffff why does he look so dreamy here who gave him the right!!!??!

The translation here is terrible! What Draluc really says is "even though you're Matagi" - the Matagi are traditional hunters that specialize in tracking and hunting in Japan's northern snowy areas - a hunter as in a game hunter (karyuudo/狩人), not vampire hunter (hantaa/ハンター). They're clearly two different things in Japanese, but using the exact same word for both in English makes this conversation complete nonsense lol
