Mr Bean may have struggled to set up a television in one of his most famous sketches, but he is no Luddite when it comes to embracing new technology.

The hapless character is ready to jump on the NFT bandwagon, with Rowan Atkinson, his creator, set to profit from selling unique Mr Bean artwork online.

An NFT (non-fungible token) is a unique digital file made up of a string of numbers and letters that serves as a certificate of ownership of a digital asset.

The Mr Bean NFTs will consist of 3,333 individual collectables from the animated children’s series, which Atkinson voices. They will be available to purchase using the cryptocurrency ether on The Avenue, an NFT store run by Fomo Lab, a tech company
