Who is performing at the MTV EMAs 2019?

The famous artists below will be putting on jaw-dropping performances in this year's MTV EMAs.

Green Day

Green Day, the iconic rock band responsible for hits including American Idiot and Good Riddance, will perform from the Plaza de Espana.

The group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool, who replaced John Kiffmeyer.

They formed in the East Bay of California in 1986 and have won five Grammy Awards, ranging from Best Alternative Album to Best Rock Album.

Niall Horan

Niall Horan of One Direction fame is set to sing 'Nice to Meet Ya', which the Irish singer released through Capitol Records.

It is the lead single from his second studio album, which was released on October 4, 2019.

The pop star revealed the lyrics for the track came to him after a real encounter on a night out.

Speaking to Billboard, Niall said: "I was out one night and locked eyes with this girl. We got chatting, and she was with a group of her mates and I was with a group of my mates.

"It felt like every time I turned around -- like the lyric says -- she just kind of disappeared. But then over the course of the same night, in different bars around that same area, we would bump into each other."

Mabel

The Londer will sing 'Don’t Call Me Up', which was on her debut album High Expectations.

She has opened for former One Direction singer Harry Styles during the European leg of his tour.

Born in Malaga, Spain, Mabel is the daughter of Swedish singer Neneh Cherry, whose 1989 single "Buffalo Stance" peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100, and British producer Cameron McVey.

Dua Lipa

The English singer-songwriter will perform 'Don't Start Now', which was released on Halloween.

It is the lead single to her upcoming second album and was first performed on The Graham Norton Show.

Of the new track, she told Billboard: "I chose to put this song out first so I could close one chapter of my life and start another.

"Into a new era with a new sound! It’s about moving on and not allowing anyone to get in the way of that. It also felt like a natural first song choice as I made it with the brilliant same crew I made New Rules with."

Other performers on the night include Akon, who will be performing with the host Becky G, Rosalía, Ava Ma  and NCT 127.

 

When will the 2019 MTV EMAs happen?

This year's MTV European Music Awards will happen on Sunday, November 3, 2019.

It will be broadcast live from the Fibes Conference & Exhibition Centre in Seville, Spain.

Those that want to watch it can tune in to MTV UK at 6pm.
