Merlin cast: Where are the stars of the BBC show now?

CAST your mind back to the late-noughties and you may well remember the BBC One fantasy show, Merlin.

But fans if the show - which ran on Saturday nights from 2008 until 2012 - may wonder where the cast of the hit series are now.

Where are the cast of Merlin now?

The BBC One show was lead by Northern Irish actor Colin Morgan.

Since the show ended he has forged an incredible career.

He played Tom Anderson in The Fall, Leo in Humans, and starred in BBC One's horror series The Living And The Dead.

On the big screen, he appeared as Frank Shea in Tom Hardy's Krays thriller Legend, and as The Duke of Blackwood in The Huntsman: Winter's War.

In 2019 he played journalist John Armstrong in The Crown, and in 2021 starred in Kenneth Branagh's movie Belfast.

In 2022 he is back on TV in We Hunt Together.

The handsome, but often arrogant, King Arthur was played by Bradley James.

Since Merlin he has mainly stuck to TV which included a role alongside Claire Danes in Homeland.

Other roles include playing walking dead musician Lowell Tracey on hit TV show iZombie.

Richard Wilson as Gaius

Before Merlin, actor Richard Wilson was of course best known for playing grumpy Victor Meldrew in hit BBC sitcom One Foot In The Grave.

He's since played an elderly astronaut in an episode of Sky Arts anthology series Playhouse Presents, and also starred in BBC One's Lenny Henry biopic Danny And The Human Zoo.

Richard has previously admitted to Digital Spy to not missing Merlin, because he struggled with the show's "hectic" schedule.

Katie McGrath as Morgana

Stunning actress Katie McGrath played the goodie-turned-baddie Morgana in Merlin.

After the show ended, the roles continued to pour in.

Katie landed parts in both the Dracula TV series, and Supergirl.

Over on the big screen she played PA Zara in Jurassic World.

She returned to her Merlin roots with a small role in Guy Ritchie's King Arthur.

After playing King Arthur's on-off love for four years, actress Angel Coulby went on to star in the miniseries Dancing On The Edge alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor.

After this she voiced Kayo in Thunderbirds Are Go.

She has also had roles in The Tunnel, Innocent, and Undercover.

Irish star Eoin Macken has since found success in the US, and is known for starring in NBC medical drama The Night Shift as Dr TC Callahan.

He also appeared in the horror sequel Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

Eoin also starred in George RR Martin's Nightflyers, and horror The Hole In The Ground.

Tom Hopper as Sir Percival

Tom Hopper has certainly kept busy since playing the Round Table noble knight Percival.

He was Billy Bones, one of the main characters in the Starz big-budget TV series Black Sails alongside Toby Stephens.

He also teamed up with fellow knight Eoin for his directorial project Leopard.

But his biggest role to date is playing Dickon Tarly in Game Of Thrones.

Anthony Head as Uther Pendragon

Actor Anthony Head has done very well since Merlin ended.
