Budapest citadel

A special feature of the Citadel is that the Statue of Liberty in its southeastern bastion is visible from almost everywhere in Budapest. Together with its pedestal, the female figure rising 40 meters above Gellért Hill and holding a palm frond in her upraised hands has become a symbol of the country over time, but the fortress here also has a significant historical past.
The citadel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Budapest.
