Tropilaelaps
This pest is as yet confined to Asia. It would be very serious if it were found outside this area and must be reported immediately and your apiary put on standstill.

It is quite unlike the Varroa and could not be mistaken for it. It's believed that in countries where there is a brood break Tropilaelaps are unlikely to establish themselves.

Download the Beebase pdf for more information.

Make sure you can recognise tropilaelaps. It will be up to vigilant beekeepers to control any outbreak.
