Hugh M This season really solidified the show as a fan favourite. So many unworldly and obscure things happen to the characters that make it more exciting throughout every episode. Too many shows (especially comedies) will go until every last joke is milked from the writers, but IT Crowd ends with such a rich and well-composed final season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/17/23 Full Review John F A bit weaker than the earlier seasons but still quite good. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/30/23 Full Review Innes G This is like the most underrated television series I've seen yet. I just don't see enough people talking about this. Every episode will have your sides split. It's just so sodding funny. I just can't express how funny it's is, it's just so good, if you like the The Office, Family Guy and others along those lines then this is a must watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/21/22 Full Review Audience Member In many ways, Season 4 is the apex of The IT Crowd, having almost entirely dropped the intentional-cringe elements, and instead focusing on Roy, Moss and Jen. Heck, the show's Plots even seem less intricate, instead giving each Plot-point more room to breathe, allowing us to fully explore how our main protagonists mentally engage with these situations; since the main characters are the best part of the show, I consider this a positive thing. It's also nice to see characters like Moss and Roy win more often, as they do here, while the show is still able to maintain the fact that it's the main characters' bouts of stupidity (combined with happenstance) that leads to these situations to begin with. As such, the show makes the episodes more satisfying to watch, but doesn't drop any of the elements that made it fun to begin with. The Finale is particularly brilliant, as it focuses on Douglas' character, his life, his idiotic approaches to the world, and fuses a bond between him and our main Trio quite effectively. If you liked the preceding Seasons, I honestly cannot imagine why you would love Season 4. It's such a shame that the show didn't continue after this (beyond a somewhat mediocre special). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review ahmad m Verges off into the unknown, but jumps back on course Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member So funny, I have to ration my viewing, so as not to die laughing. Nothing - absolutely nothing - is off limits. A roller coaster ride through a funhouse. Each new episode tops the last. Impossible though it seems. Rupert Christiansen Daily Telegraph (UK) A jewel in Channel 4's somewhat tarnished crown, which has just started its fourth series in cracking form. Mar 7, 2019 Full Review Thomas Sutcliffe Independent (UK) There are quotably funny lines in The IT Crowd. But far more often, the laughs sit in the junction between dialogue and expression... It was very funny. Jan 30, 2019 Full Review David Renshaw Guardian Recorded in front of a studio audience, The IT Crowd is, in many ways, an unashamedly traditional sitcom, but it still manages to feels fresh and different through its use of tech language and embrace of geek culture. Jan 30, 2019 Full Review Charles Solomon FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen on TV. It is so much fun and so silly.
