Spiralis Hinoki Cypress
Spiralis Hinoki Cypress, also known as Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Spiralis', is a small evergreen conifer that is prized for its unique, twisted, and spiraling foliage. This slow-growing shrub typically reaches a height of 4 to 6 feet and a spread of 2 to 3 feet over 10 years. The foliage of Spiralis Hinoki Cypress is a bright green color in the spring and summer, transitioning to bronze or purple tones in the fall and winter. This cultivar prefers partial shade to full sun and well-drained soil, and is often used in rock gardens or as a specimen plant in small gardens.
