Ferruginous Hawk - Buteo regalis

I took this photo of a beautiful Ferruginous Hawk (Buteo regalis) during the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Raptor Free Flight program. As you can see in the photo he has just landed on the handler's glove. If you look in the photo you can see the tracking device they have attached to the tail just in case he decides to roam to far from home. His handler did say one time he stayed out over night and was waiting at the door the next morning asking where have you guys been let me in! Canon EOS…
