Endlicher's Pine (Pinus rudis), an evergreen tree up to 24m tall, native to the mountains of central and northern Mexico. The lush needles are usually around 10-15cm long but may reach 30cm, forming brush-like sprays of foliage. Often confused in cultivation with Pinus montezumae. Although subtropical in origin, this species can withstand very low temperatures. Order: Pinales, Family: Pinaceae
