In January 2024, Simone shared a deeply personal insight into her life as she discussed her hair loss journey on social media.
Alongside the photo on the right, Simone revealed: "Nine months ago I realised I had major hair loss due to two years of relentless financial and emotional stress. Eight months ago Madigan shaved my head and I said goodbye to my 8 year old dreadlocks.
"Two months were spent almost bald at a #1 as I monitored the loss and waited for potential new growth. Then I've had six months of pure uninterrupted growth. No cut. No colour. Just growth.
"And I am happy to say the results are in….and are pretty bloody good. I have no bald spots…hallelujah!!! And as you can see it's just getting long enough for the curls to do their thing."
Simone then shared that she was heading on an adventure and was about to switch up her look once more – click to see...
In April 2024, Simone shared this stunning look with her thousands of followers.
"So I've decided to get my boho braids back in for our trekking adventure that starts in a mere four days," she confirmed online. "Then I'll easily be able to get it up and off my face and neck in the super humid conditions… and I literally won't have to think about it at all, just chuck it up in a high pony or bun and it'll look super cute."
Simone is currently spending some time in Indonesia, and appears to be having the time of her life!
Since the end of McLeod's, Simone went on to become a real-life jillaroo!
"It's just started a career that I wasn't actually looking for, it's kind of been placed in front of me and I just love it and it's what I'm going to do. I thrived out there," the 49-year-old told 9Entertainment in 2019.
She sells apparel and accessories under her label Wandering Ozzie.
She also had roles on Neighbours, Rescue Special Ops and Cops L.A.C.
Following McLeod's Daughters, Jessica, 44, has enjoyed a recurring role on Sea Patrol and Rescue: Special Ops.Â
Jessica also starred in Channel Nine's Bite Club.
Jessica has two children with her husband David Adler.
In September 2023, Jessica and her daughter Emily attended the World Premiere of the Stan Original Series C*A*U*G*H*T at the Sydney Opera House.
The mother and daughter team rubbed shoulders with big stars like Matthew Fox, Kick Curry and even Today host Karl Stefanovic, who made his acting debut on the comedy series.
Jessica recently shared a tribute on Instagram to her late father Marshall Napier.
Marshall Napier died in 2022 aged 70 following a brave battle with brain cancer.
In August 2023, Jessica wrote on Instagram, "One year 💔 Still so raw. Still so unfathomable. I miss you. Love you Dad xxxx."
Marshall Napier was also a McLeod's star himself, playing Alex and Nick's father Harry Ryan.
Marshall played the role for six seasons and appeared in over 87 episodes.
As of February 2023, Rachael Carpani, 42, has been relaxing in Sydney, indulging in a variety of cuisines across the city and the occasional facial.
Her Instagram is the perfect balance of lifestyle, travel and passion, with women's rights and Indigenous justice advocacy featuring strongly throughout.
Rachael was admitted to hospital for acute abdominal pain in February 2021 and thanked friends, family and fans for their well wishes.
The actress spent a few days in the intensive care unit and was then in the surgical ward, and later revealed she was "on the mend".
The experience prompted the McLeod's Daughters star to encourage her Instagram followers to pay attention to unusual symptoms.
"Basically it was a case of me not listening to my body and the pain (I tend to work through pain!!) and allowing myself to get quite ill," she revealed on Instagram.
"Yet again, another lesson, especially to women who tend to ignore their own care because 'there's no time' or more important things or people to look after to stop and listen to what your body is trying to tell you."
Over 2020 and 2021, Rachael was living like the rest of us, weathering lockdown and staying inside to keep the rest of Australia safe.
Rachael left McLeod's to pursue her career in the US, though she did return for the show's final episode, reprising her role as Jodi Fountain.
She has had a string of roles in NCIS: Los Angeles, The Glades and Against the Wall. She also appeared in 800 Words in 2018.
Bridie Carter, 52, recently shared a picture to support her co-star Simmone Jade Mackinnon's clothing range.
"Recognise this snuggly hoodie?" she asked. "Yes, designed and created by none other than the amazing, inspiring, precious and special friend of mine #simmonejademackinnon AKA @wanderingozzie_."
Bridie went on to joke how her sons had made keeping tabs on the hoodies difficult, and revealed the close connection she still shares with her McLeod's Daughters' co-star.
"Do you think when my hoodies arrived in the mail, I could find them? No – because my two gorgeous sons kept stealing them," she wrote.
"Alas, I have stolen them back. Nothing like taking your friends with you wherever you go – that's how I feel with Sim – she is always there.
"Thank you for my bestest ever hoodies and tees – I think you are amazing! Here's to celebrating the successes of those we love and paying homage to their hard work, tenacity and continued creativity.
"Much love to Sim and all friends around the world. Friendship. Everything... Bridie xxxxx."
Simmone commented on the post, thanking Bridie for the "beautiful and kind words".
"Wow Bri…. Thank you. What a wonderful post to see first thing in the morning. Such beautiful and kind words, I can't tell you how much I appreciate them. Stay snuggly, and I'll see you soon," Simmone wrote.
Bridie has had an extensive TV and stage career since leaving McLeod's in the sixth season. She had a recurring role as Jan on the Aussie drama 800 Words and reunited with McLeod's co-star Aaron Jeffery for the play Love Letters in 2009.
Married to designer Michael Wilson, the couple have two children together.
The actor was highly involved in the Bush Christmas Reunion in December 2019 and gushed to 9Entertainment about the show's fans.
"I really know that this show has so much heart and purity and honesty. It spoke to so many different values and so many different experiences that we not only stepped into people's lounge rooms, we actually stepped into their hearts and lives," she said.
In December 2019 many members of the cast, including Aaron Jeffery, Lisa Chappell, Simmone Jade Mackinnon, Bridie Carter and Myles Pollard appeared at the McLeod's Daughters Bush Christmas Reunion in Lismore.
After roles in Neighbours and Wentworth, Aaron played Chopper Read in the series Underbelly Files.
Recently, he's played the role of David Starke in drama series Between Two Worlds. He's also worked on the 2022 Netflix series Pieces of Her.
Aaron dates his McLeod’s Daughters co-star Zoe Naylor (Regan McLeod) and the pair have two children together.
In 2018, Jeffery opened up to Who about his shocking past, revealing he was passed around in a pedophile ring "for a couple of years" during his childhood in Auckland, New Zealand.
