8.10 is great now I have sound on my laptop. I think Ubuntu is the best looking operating system if its has a nice theme and some compiz effects.

The 3D rotatable desktop is pretty killer.

I'd use Ubuntu if I didn't play as many games as I do

this would definatly be a billion times more awesome if you could boot it straight from your motherboard. if you CAN boot it straight from the motherboard (without one of those crappy asus motherboards) - PLEASE TELL ME HOW!!!

I've not been following this release closely, but from what I've heard this definitely sounds like it's worth trying on a LiveCD. I'm not about to get rid of my precious Debian install.
