What has become of the 'Charmed' actresses?

Sixteen years ago marked the end of popular tv series 'Charmed', with the last episode aired in 2006 and followed by reruns for years to follow.

However, since the day the series ended, we started to lose track of its stars as well. What has become of them?

The three Halliwell witch sisters were as follows: Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano).

They were joined years later by Paige Matthews (Rose McGowan) to take Prue's place in the series finale.

Prue Halliwell (Shannen Doherty)

She was the show's star signing, having appeared in hit shows such as 'Little House on the Prairie' and 'Sensation of Life' as a child.

She was one of the most loved sisters but decided to leave the series because, as she confessed years later, she was "fed up" with her character, the film crew and the bad relationship with her colleagues, especially Alyssa.

Since then, she has rarely been seen in series, films or events. Sadly, since she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2019, she has been completely out of the limelight and is trying to fight the disease.

Piper Halliwell (Holly Marie Combs)

Like her 'sister', she was already an old acquaintance to American audiences.

In 1992 she made her first appearance in 'Picket Fences' and in the 1980s she made the leap to the big screen accompanied by Tom Cruise and Oliver Stone in 'Born on the Fourth of July'.

After her stint in 'Charmed', we had to wait until 2010 to see her in action again with her reappearance in the hit series 'Pretty Little Liars'.

In 2019, she appeared in an episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' in which, along with Alyssa Milano, they played two sisters with powers.

Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano)

When she first appeared in the series, she already had previous experience from her role as Jennifer Mancini in 'Melrose Place'.

Of the main characters, she has been one of the most successful in different projects after her time in 'Charmed'.

In 2019 we could see her in the Netflix series 'Insatiable' and in 2020 she was in the news again when she confessed that due to Covid she began to suffer alopecia.

Paige Matthews (Rose McGowan)

The last of the bewitched family is undoubtedly the one who has had the most success as we have been able to see her in series like 'Once Upon a Time' or in feature films such as 'The Black Diva' or 'Conan the Barbarian'.

However, beyond the spotlight and the cameras, McGowan made headlines in 2017 for publicly accusing Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein of having raped her at the age of 23 and accused the industry of maintaining a culture of complicity and silence.
