How Lord Vishnu Got Sudarshan Chakra

How Lord Vishnu Got Sudarshan Chakra

Every Vedic deity and asuras (demons) holds weapons in their hands. The demigods use weapons against demons who with their weapons want to rule everything in existence. Of all the weapons mentioned in the Vedas, Sudarshan Chakra surpasses them all for it is the weapon used by the Lord Himself. An intriguing matter is that this Chakra that annihilates anything that comes in its way is worshipped by the devotees, Yogis and demigods because it is transcendental. There are many questions around the origin of Sudarshan Chakra or how Lord Vishnu got Sudarshan Chakra. Some say it was given by Agni to Lord Krishna, some say it was created by Vishwakarma. However, the Bhagavat Purana offers an astounding fact. It is stated that the Sudarshan Chakra is the Lord’s divinity personified.

Sudarshan in its divine form is a devotee of the Lord. It is the glance of the Supreme Lord that is dear to the devotees and fear personified to demons. It is he who on the order of the Lord creates the entire material world. There are thousands of spokes on his body and each of them empowers powerful deities like Shiva, Durga, Brahma and the like to maintain the cosmic affairs. Sudarśana Chakra being the origin of creation is most dear to the Lord. It is one of the most esoteric subjects. Most consider it as the weapon of Lord Vishnu or Krishna. In reality it is religion personified. It is nicely corroborated in the Bhagavata Purana (9.5.5) O Sudarśana wheel, you are religion, you are truth, you are encouraging statements, you are sacrifice, and you are the enjoyer of the fruits of sacrifice. You are the maintainer of the entire universe, and you are the supreme transcendental prowess in the hands of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. You are the original vision of the Lord, and therefore you are known as Sudarśana. Everything has been created by your activities, and therefore you are all-pervading.

He (Sudarshan Chakra) is the purer than the purest for it is the original vision of the Lord. His power was experienced by Durvasa Muni who considered Maharaja Ambarisa lower than him. Ambarisa was a Kshatriya king whereas Muni was Brahmin, the uppermost order of the society. Muni wanted to exert his Brahmanical powers on Ambarisa and this was detested by Sudarshana who decided to kill him. Maharaja Ambarisa pacified Sudarshana and asked him to forgive him. Thus pleased by the prayers, Sudarshana excused him. So whenever, religious discrepancies arise, Sudarshan actively serves the Lord in wiping out the unwanted demons.

If u want to know one of the highest truths, then there you can also use Sudarshan power not only physically, but also spiritually in other people. Only some Vaishnavas have power of Sudarshan. It is the highest Maha Siddhi spiritual power. In Kali Yuga, Kali Purush is Satan and this Satan is an evil enemy dark spirit inside many, and thus, it will only result those people controlled by Kali Purush in Hell. Vaishnavas who do the worship of Lord Vishnu and get this power of Sudarshan, they could destroy the evil spirit known as Kali Purush off of people. This is power of Sudarshan which is light and if darkness (People who are controlled by Kali Purush) encounters light, the Kali Purush gets off of these people. Vaishnavas worship Lord Vishnu for years without eating meat/Onion/Garlic/Eggs, and even I am Vaishnav. Just because I am Vaishnav does not mean I have this power. I do not have the power of Sudarshan. I got most of this knowledge from an Vaishnav who has the power of Sudarshan. And he told me and gave me pure knowledge for the understanding of the truth, and so did Lord Vishnu from creating everything, which also gave us scriptures of Hinduism which taught me truth and Lord Vishnu. Only Hinduism is the truth. Jay Govinda!
