Our special guest on the My K12 Career Show is Dr. Angela Burse Addison! Dr. Addison has worked as a K12 educator for over 35 years? She is currently serving as a Regional Principal for the Department of Juvenille Justice. She also is a published author and college professor. Dr. Angela Burse Addison is a native of Fort Valley, Ga. The oldest of nine children, she was born to Edna and the late Curtis Ezell, Sr. She attended the public schools of Peach County Georgia and Fort Valley State University. She graduated from Fort Valley State receiving a bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s in Middle Grades Education. She furthered her education and received the educational specialist degree in Middle Grades Education from Brenau University and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University formerly the University of Sarasota. She received a Christian Education Degree from Ambassadors College. She is also a 2020 graduate of District Administration’s Superintendents Academy. Dr. Addison holds membership in several organizations. Namely, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Order of Eastern Star, and Southern Christian Leadership Conference. She is a proud lifetime alumnus of Fort Valley State University and was founding president of the South Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter.

Dr. Addison is an accomplished writer and author. Her first publication, a four-book set, is a children’s series devoted to pre-school education. She has also written a curriculum development book employed by many teachers throughout the country. She has published ten books to date. Currently she is a regional principal with the Department of Juvenile Justice. She is the owner and founder of Let’s Talk School that offers educational consulting. She is also the host of the weekly Talk Show, “Let’s Talk” streamed live on Facebook. Dr. Addison currently resides in Winterville, Ga. She is the wife of Pastor Rufus Addison. She is the mother of three children: Bridget, Brian, and Brent. Through her blended family she inherited seven other children. She is also “Nana” to Rhudi, Sean, Khalil, Brian, and Bailee and five bonus grands. We are super excited to have Dr. Addison to come on the show to share her story about her K12 journey!
