The White-browed Wagtail (Motacilla madaraspatensis) is found in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and parts of Southeast Asia. White-browed Wagtails are small, slender birds with distinctive plumage. They have a black head, a white eyebrow stripe above the eye, and a white chin and throat. The rest of their body is mostly black, with white patches on the wings and tail. In flight, they display white edges on their wings and a white tail, which is often seen as they pump their tails up and down. These wagtails are commonly found near open freshwater bodies such as rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, and marshes. They feed on aquatic insects, small invertebrates, and other prey.
