Education

Democratic learning and participatory program for Hungarian high schools students.

About us

The Katalizátor Program (Catalyst Program) was launched in 2023 as a pilot non-formal education initiative which has since developed into an established program. Katalizátor is a democratic and civic education course that aims to activate young people of high school age through theoretical/discussion sessions and experiential activities, as well as participatory initiatives. The program was initiated by Endre Tóth, representative of South-Buda in the Hungarian Parliament and Lukács Hayes and is overseen by the Közösség Dél-Budáért Association. With over 50 participating students from over 10 secondary schools (both public and foundation) in Budapest the Katalizátor Program aims to catalyze social and political change in Hungary.
