Pinus mugo 'Little Gold Star' (syn. Pinus mugo 'Laarheide') A slowly growing selection of the dwarf mountain pine with a cushion shape. The characteristic feature are needles which turn to a gold colour in the late autumn, and remain until the early spring. At the age of 10 reaches approximately 0.2m in height and 0.4m in diameter. This cultivar of dwarf mountain pine has a low soil fertilization requirements. Its resistant to harsh climatic conditions. Prefers location in a full sun. It is an excellent variety for small backyards, rockeries.
