Last activities at my Grūbe Pinetum.

This year winter came unusually early.
Already in early November has fallen snow. Temperatures dropped below zero...
But I managed to do almost all of the planned works.

The last plantings this year -

From back - Abies concolor 'Fagerhult', Pinus strobus 'Louie', Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Les Barres' and Pinus aristata species.

Picea pungens 'Gondro'.

My stock plants. I managed to winterize all.

Overwiew...
Outside the fence we mows the lawn only once a year. 3 hectares is a bit too much:)

And some of my favorites -

Picea glauca 'Dent'.

Pinus koraiensis 'Dragon Eye'.

Picea abies 'Green Monster'.Photo limit ended up ... :)

I thought you were getting a lot done before, but it looks like you're gaining speed! Way to go.

I'm envious of all the room you have yet to plant.

Love the 'Green Monster'. Very interesting with the gold needles at the base of the shoots and the unique form. Would love to see what this one looks like in a few years.

Just wanted to say I enjoy all of your posts/pictures. Keep it coming. I'm sure anyone with this conifer addiction would agree.

You find some great looking plants.

I love the density and variety in your stock yard. Almost mesmerizing, even though it isn't permanent!

I can see my own "pinetum" in the future as my conifer addiction grows (as does my clustered collection). Thanks for the inspiration.

P.S. That Green Monster is an interesting critter. Keep us posted on what it does over time.

Nice that you grow white spruce. Underused tree here -- at least for z6 or cooler.
