Hi all,
Received this plant about a month ago, and it's supposed to be A. magnifica 'Nana'. What do you think?
I know in the past there's been some discussion about cultivars of A. lasiocarpa being passed off as A. magnifica, and indeed, this plant does seem to miss a few of the characteristics I'd expect from A. magnifica. On the other hand, it looks quite different than any of the A. lasiocarpa species or cultivars I have. Also has the purple strobili, for what it's worth, which does remind me somewhat of A. procera.
What do you think? I wonder if in the past many of these 'Nana' cultivars actually had hybrid origins?
