Uber. You should do time lapse photos Steven, like 'Ten years of etc...

Also is the spelling listed above correct?

I have Abies koreana 'Kohout's Hexe'.

    -Will

In my opinion this cultivar is one of the best witches' brooms of this species, the 'Wellenseind' will be at the second place.

'Kohout Hexe' is the right spelling

Also a lot of people are misspelling the other one which was found by the Kohout Nursery from Germany:
Abies koreana 'Kohouts Icebreaker' is the right one.
    Misspellings for this one are:
    -'Kohout's Icebreaker'
    -'Kohout's Ice Breaker'

Yes sorry, agree Kohout Hexe ...never got round to changing my details as I haven't with many in the last couple of years.
Edwin - I guess Jorg can name his plant anyway he wants, but as he has chosen an English name, strictly speaking there should be an apostrophe s in 'Kohouts Icebreaker' so Kohout's Icebreaker should be the correct way of spelling this name.

Stephen, you're completely right, but it's the International Plant Breeders Commitee who decided that cultivar names may not end with an apostrophe s.
Because Joerg put a patent on it is has to be written as 'Kohouts Ice Breaker.
If there was not a patent on it then it had to be written as 'Kohout's Ice Breaker.

I know this all from own experiences with my Filip selections.
All are written with an apostrophe s, except for my patented yellow 'Smaragd' which must be written as 'Filips Magic Moment'...

Thanks Edwin, and to think I rooted a few cuttings of your Thuja occidentalis 'Magic Moment' guess I'll have to give them away now ;0)

Stephen, I guess we can fix this in a proper way.
A few extra scions for me of your Pinus sylvestris finds will do for me ;0)

Btw, can you show us a pic of the 'Filips Magic Moment' in your garden?
    Thanks!

Not much to see Edwin, only potted it up a week ago, it's been struggling in a one litre pot up till then ... note the little rooted cuttings in the other pic :o)

I prefer 'Wellenseind' though I've not bought one. It just seems perfect with thicker needles and the white reverses, do you have a picture to compare?

    Of coarse I've one ;0)

    Abies koreana 'Wellenseind'

Other very nice witches' brooms of this species are:
    Abies koreana 'Arbor's Hexe'

    Abies koreana 'Dennis'

    Abies koreana 'Silberkugel'

    In fact they're all beautiful...
