A trip to Oregon yesterday with Bob Fincham allowed us the chance to see this beauty in person, a nice golden variety of Mountain hemlock, discovered by Jim Boyko. The color doesn't show up nearly as well on camera as it does in person - the plant looks like a bright gold cedrus deodara dwarf. Particularly the upper branches are very bright, either way, it's been tenatively named and those who can grow it(myself included) should now be hopeful to add it to their landscape/collections in 2-4 years.
And another random photo to give this thread more excitement, explosions and other cool emotional stuff!
