Ken, I think that you can remove the 'Prostrata' part from this cultivarname.
In my opinion it's Thuja koraiensis 'Glauca'
If you cut the stake loose it will not lay on the ground., try it en tell us!

On my list - Th. koraiensis 'Glauca Prostrata' and 'Globosa'. Both are not similar to 'Glauca' - dense, slow, low mounding forms. Till now I am not quite sure, these two may be the same cultivar, but 'Globosa' seems to be a little bit higher than 'Glauca Preostrata'.

Unfortunately - no info on Internet, books, no pictures, no descriptions. Unfortunately, I cannot contact directly to growers/propagators (because I don't know any contact info) and the sales people know only the price and "the cultivar name is exactly as written on the label".

I think that your 'Glauca Prostrat' is the same as my 'Glauca' because your's is making a leader also and doesn't grow flat.

I never came across the cultivar 'Globosa'.
From where did you obtain your plant?

'Globosa' was found in Latvia, at www.zalenieki.lv , but somehow it is not on their pricelist. In April next year I'll continue the investigation.

Concerning 'Glauca Prostrata'/'Glauca': I saw the motherplant. At aprx 40 years old it is about 80-90 cm high and 200+ cm wide. It was listed as simply Th. koraiensis, w/o any cultivar name. So I decided - should be 'Glauca Prostrata'...In other words, nothing for sure.
