One of my top ten favorite conifer cultivars, this beautiful, slow growing dwarf fir has so many different seasonal looks, and all of them are full of contrast. It's been growing pretty fast in my garden, usually 2-3 inches a year(5-8 cm), my specimen has some 4-5 inch growth sections, like many of the firs in my garden, has an upwards tendency. My original plant source was Bob Fincham, Coenosium Gardens. If you can grow this plant successfully, you better go get one. They are stunning.
2010 - Early Spring bud break.
