This thread is being opened at the behest of two conifer forum members who will go unnamed (hint: their initials are Dax and Zsolt).

Jerry is a long-time conifer enthusiast who has introduced many plants into our gardens. Please feel free to post your own photos of his conifers here.

Once this thread is suitably fattened, we'll open a new one. Here are a few pics to start.

Pinus aristata 'Waldorf 3'

Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Quaintance'

Pinus monophylla 'Whoopy'

Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Grace'

Pseudotsuga menziesii 'Sweet Sara'

Picea pungens 'Regal Chub' (formerly known as Charming Chub which is the name of an Abies concolor, thus some naming confusion had once occured).
    {{gwi:625839}}

Picea pungens 'Regal Chub' at Chub Harper's landscape. Jerry Morris named this plant for his lifetime friend, Chub Harper who was (now deceased) a part of the first, movement, of dwarf conifering in the USA:

Picea pungens 'Mom' (not sure about the breeder for this...)

Picea pungens 'Teton Weeper' - possibly a Jerry Morris/Dennis Hermsen intro - Hermsen has a pungens Teton Tower:

Pinus flexilis 'Deans Mountain' a Jerry Morris intro:

In the years 2002-2006 Larry Stanley had about 200 Jerry Morris selections in his catalogue. I think Larry made very much for making known Jerry's beautiful dwarfs. Some of them are still in propagation.
Some polish nurseries (as Darek Burdan and Daglezja Nursery in Ryki) imported many plants to Europe from Larry, so the Jerry Morris fans can buy a lot of selections at home in Europe.

Anyway, Friends,I'm a Jerry Morris fan. I like the plant world he created from native american conifers. His plant world never existed before. The botanists described the range of Pinus flexilis (from here to there over, between x feet high or low), but Jerry brought hundreds of sons and daughters of the virgin forests down to the valleys and cities from the Rockies to enjoy the fruits of the unknown mountains.
I hope, he made a school for the culture of home made plants, environment.

Thanks for the opening this thread, Nate and Dax.

    OK, just one to Dax

Pinus flexilis 'Granby'was given by Jerry Morris to Denver BG in 2003, as they say. Nate has it also found in the BGbase of Denver.

'Granby' is likely named after the town of Granby, Colorado.

'Teton Weeper' is probably part of the Teton collection.
As I understand, Dennis Hermsen originally found 'Teton Tower' near the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, although the timing wasn't good for taking scions.
Later, when Jerry returned there to collect cuttings, he found about a dozen other 'oddballs' near 'Teton Tower' that looked interesting enough for propagation.
Jerry mentioned that many of them had weeping habits.
