    Great photos, Dax!

I know where these photos were taken; I've been there. Beautiful yard, isn't it?
    Take care,
    Mike

Thanks for sharing the photos Dax. That Gingo biloba 'Elmwood Pillar' really IS something. I don't think I've ever seen one. I also like the P.m. 'Dandy Doug' which is now on my list.

    Thanks,

    Dan

That day must be wonderfull Dax, nice garden!

Are you sure about the Pinus resinosa 'Thunderhead', I'm only familiar with the Pinus thunbergii 'Thunderhead'.

The Pinus aristata 'Sleepy' looks real strange.
Does this variety grows always that flat?

Yeah Mike. Chub Harper called The Whittenbaugh's garden "intense." It's really cool.

    Right on Dan.

Edwin, no clue about either of your questions, this was the first time I"ve ever seen either of them. This garden I found absolutely no spelling mistakes on anything. It's also a garden of a ACS member who is/was a president of the region... so I'm thinking those names are legit.

    Dax,
Yes, Gary's garden is really something.

Did you see the hemlock he has in his front yard? It's a bean pole and very similar to the 'Elmwood' Ginkgo.

I've got a small plant of that 'Elmwood' ginkgo. Gary sent scion wood to Dennis at Bethlehem nursery a couple of years ago and I purchased one from Dennis.
The bunnies got part of the plant this spring, so I am really bummed. (:o(

I need to protect everything next winter with 4' fences.

Yes Edwin, Pinus resinosa "Thunderhead" exist, I grafted 1 in the past from Wiel Linssen, but it's always a poor plant.

Hi Mike, I still have fences on plants I know the bunnies and deer prefer (year-round). All my Japanese maples, dawn redwood, and anything that is a treasure. And I'm going to keep them on until I'm satisfied the plant is large enough; trees five feet, dwarf conifers with size to them. Someday I know I'll part with some of my favorites, but there's nothing I can do. Hopefully, size will deter them for the dwarfs and minis. I doubt it!

    I missed that hemlock. Darn!

    Take it easy,

    Dax
