After seeing original stars Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park exit following a salary standoff, CBS is adding three new series regulars to the cast of Hawaii Five-0.
Joining the CBS procedural are Meaghan Rath, Beulah Koale and Ian Anthony Dale.
Dale has recurred on Hawaii Five-0 since season two as Adam Noshimuri, the husband of Park’s Kono and a trusted confidant and resource for the team who will now be recruited by McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) to work for Five-0. The casting keeps Dale in the CBS family after his lead role on the network’s low-rated summer drama Salvation.

Rath (Being Human, Rogue, New Girl) will play Tani Rey, whom McGarrett recruits after finding her working as a lifeguard at a hotel pool after she was kicked out of the police academy, despite being a first-rate candidate.
Koale (the upcoming Thank You for Your Service) will portray Junior Reigns, a former Navy SEAL who just returned from serving his country and asks McGarrett, a fellow SEAL, for a job, hoping to repurpose his skills as a member of Five-0.
Rath is repped by the Kohner Agency and Hess Entertainment; Koale is with APA; and Dale is also with Kohner.
CBS offered sizable raises to both Kim and Park, but the actors, who had been with the drama from the start, are said to have demanded salary parity with stars including O’Loughlin and Scott Caan. Viewers will be updated on their characters, Chin Ho Kelly and Kono Kalakaua, in the season eight premiere set for Friday, Sept. 29, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
