While some people out there in the universe think it’s oh so funny to be a troll and ruin someone’s day… there are people like Delta Goodrem, who have literally achieved the unthinkable.

The things that some people don’t even dream of, things that people dedicate their whole lives to, things that have changed people for the better, changed the world, inspired more people than we can count and have paved the path to a better future.

For some people out there, watching others succeed their dreams is hard to digest.

So in return, because of their own insecurities, a wall is instantly put up and hate gets thrown over like pelting rocks.

No one in Australia cops the rocks harder than Delta Goodrem.

For what reason? Honestly, if we bloody knew we would’ve stopped it years ago.

Maybe these people just aren’t educated enough, or they get a kick out of being cold… so, this is where we come in, so like we said, grab a seat… maybe get yourself a tea… we might be here a while.

While you may think that Delta just rolled out of the womb on a red carpet into a life filled with fame and fortune with no hard work at all... you couldn’t be more wrong.

Delta knew from a young age exactly what her dreams were and nothing could stop her, she began her career as a child actress, appearing in a number of TV commercials and had guest starring roles in TV shows.

Not only was she doing acting classes, as well as school, she was enrolled in singing, dancing, piano and sport.

At the age of just thirteen, Delta recorded a five-song demo CD. After she got some cash from her own TV work, she then sent the demo to the Sydney Swans, which thankfully passed it onto Glenn Wheatley who is the manager behind massive Aussie artists such as Little River Band and John Farnham.

Naturally, Glenn recognised Delta’s rare talent and signed her to an artist development deal with independent label, Empire Records.

Soon after, at just 15-years-old, Delta signed a massive a record deal with Sony Music, she instantly got to work and released her debut single, I Don't Care. Yeah, at just 15-years-old… while most of us were spending our free time as teenagers at McDonald’s… Delta was working in the recording studio.

Fast-forward to 2002 and Delta got the role as Nina Tucker on Neighbours, finally after years of hard work she became a household name.

She premiered her hit single Born to Try, and from that moment her life changed, the song reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart and number three in the UK.

The success didn’t stop there, Born to Try was certified triple Platinum in Australia for sales of over 210,000 copies.

Then, WAIT FOR IT, Delta’s role on Neighbours won her a Logie in 2003 for Most Popular New Talent.

In January 2003, her second single, Lost Without You, topped the ARIA Singles Chart and it was certified double platinum for sales over 140,000 copies in Australia.

Are you keeping up?

In March in 2003, Delta released her debut album, Innocent Eyes… and it literally flew the eff off the charts.

It debuted at number one on the ARIA Album Charts, breaking the Australian records held by John Farnham's Whispering Jack by staying number one for 25 weeks. It also tied with Neil Diamond's Hot August Night as the second longest charting number one album with a total of 29 weeks at top spot.

Innocent Eyes became the highest-selling album in Australia in 2003 and sold over 1.2 million copies in Australia, and over 4 million worldwide.

Grab some more tea. We are nowhere near done.

Later that same year on July 8, at just the age of 18, Delta was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. As always, Delta put others first before going ahead with her full treatment of chemotherapy and radiation therapy and released her fourth single, Not Me, Not I.

This became Delta’s fourth consecutive number one single and passed Kylie Minogue's record of having three number-ones from her debut album, Kylie.

Throughout this time, Delta took time away to focus on her health and get treatment… but, that didn’t stop her from attending the ARIA awards later that year… where she literally took home seven… Yes. SEVEN, in one bloody night.

In this time, Delta also released her first ever first full-length DVD, Delta, of course, this resulted in another record to be broken. It became the highest-selling music DVD by an Australian artist in Australia EVER!

In late 2003, Delta announced that she was in remission and once again, nothing stopped her; she jumped straight back into the studio to work on her second album.

In 2004, she received two nominations at the Logie Awards including a Gold Logie nomination for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, in the same year she became the face of Pepsi in Australia and launched her very own lingerie line titled, Delta by Annabella.

Also in the same year… yeah, while being in remission, Delta’s second album Mistaken Identity was released debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums chart.

The album spent 46 weeks in the top 50.

The first single from the new album, Out Of The Blue, debuted at number one on the ARIA chart and became her sixth straight number one single.

SLAYYYYYYYY.

The second single, Mistaken Identity, debuted at number seven and was certified Gold, with the third single following called Almost Here, which was a duet with Irish singer Brian McFadden, reached number three in the UK and became her seventh ARIA number one, along with her first number one in Ireland.

More singles followed, and of course so did breaking records.

We hope you’re still here... WE AIN'T DONE.

BEHOLD THE YEAR OF 2007, Delta released her third studio album, Delta.

Naturally, the album debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, which you guessed it… made it her third number one album in Australia.

The lead single from the album, In This Life, was released on September 15th and debuted at number one on the singles chart, which became Delta’s eighth number one single in Australia.

Other singles from the album, Believe Again, You Will Only Break My Heart and I Can't Break It To My Heart all charted and gave Delta the record (which she continues to hold) of most number one singles on the ARIA charts by any artist.

In July 2008, Delta once again set off on another national tour of Australia, called the Believe Again Tour.

A concert DVD of the tour was later released and once again it peaked at number one on the Australian ARIA DVD Chart and was certified Gold.

Over the next few years, Delta took a step away from the public eye… but she never stopped working.

In 2011 she became an ambassador for the Kinghorn Cancer Centre at Sydney's Garvan Institute of Medical Research.

Fast forward to 2012 and it was announced that Delta would be a coach on the first ever season of The Voice Australia. Delta coached alongside Keith Urban, Joel Madden, and Seal.

Her follow up single to Wings, Dear Life, was released in May 2016 and was certified Gold.

Her fifth album, Wings Of The Wild, was released later that year debuted at number one (once again) on the charts.

She made her debut on the TV show, House Husbands, is the face of NRL, released her first ever fragrance called Delta by Delta Goodrem and will appear as Olivia Newton John in the upcoming Channel 7 miniseries.

YUP… and tbh we know we have missed out on a sh*t load of things from this. Even we can't keep up.

Like she has written for bloody Céline Dion!

All we know is that girl is slaying the game hard and is an ultimate BOSS.

The thing is, people choose to hate on people just because they feel like it, but the fact is they really have no idea about the person, they have no idea about their past, or what they are working on in the future.

It’s no freaking secret that Delta is a national treasure and she deserves every type of success she comes across.

We think it’s about time we start building other Aussies up instead of dragging them down time and time again.

Delta, keep being you girl. Haters gonna hate.
