Stage, screen and television actor Peter Coyote, born Peter Cohon in 1942, is best known as a narrator and for his role as Keys in the 1982 blockbuster, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Coyote, who began his film career in 1980's Die Laughing, has been seen on the big screen in such other features as Unforgettable (1996), Patch Adams (1998), Random Hearts (1999) and Erin Brockovich (2000). He has also appeared in several made-for-TV movies, including a starring turn as Buffalo Bill Cody in Buffalo Girls (1995), and his TV work also includes regular roles on such series as The Inside (as Special Agent Virgil "Web" Webster, 2005), Commander in Chief (as Warren Keaton, 2005-2006) and The 4400 (as Dennis Ryland, 2004-2006). He has also guest starred on a long list of TV shows, and Coyote has been narrating TV documentaries and specials since 1985, when he was heard on several episodes of National Geographic Explorer. Coyote's is also the author of Sleeping Where I Fall, a memoir of the counterculture of the 1960s. The book has been printed in hard cover five times and is in its second paperback edition. Ink slightly beaded. Slightly creased at blank corners, light black mark at lower right corner. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Name written (unknown hand) on verso (no show through). Fine condition.
