Set Mummy Foundation

Use a makeup sponge to apply a foundation that's several shades lighter than your normal skin tone all over the face, including the lips (Image 1). Set the makeup with translucent powder on a powder puff and brush off the excess (Image 2).

Make Mummy Eyes

Use a makeup brush to apply black, then brown shadows to the hollows of the eyes (Image 1). An uneven look appears more ghoulish.

Paint Mummy Lips

Next, use a flat brush with brown eye shadow to give the lips a bruised look (Image 1). Then, purse the lips and add red to the natural creases (Image 2).

Wrap Your Mummy

Now it's time to wrap the mummy's head with gauze. Play around with places you'd like to wrap the face. Attach the gauze using liquid latex, spirit gum or double-stick medical tape. Keep gauze away from the mouth, nose and eyes (Image 1).

Complete the Look

Once the gauze is in place, use a stipple sponge to mix red and brown eye shadow and apply to the forehead and cheeks. Finish the look by wrapping the head and neck with gauze (Image 1) and adding more stippled color, if needed. For the costume, use a store-bought version or create your own by gluing gauze to a white sweat suit (Image 2).
