Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Schirrmann's Nordlicht'

Metasequoia glyptostoboides 'Schirrmann's Nordlicht' is a compact growing deciduous conifer with green leaves that are frosted with silvery white, changing to coppery tones in the Fall.  Metasequoia glyptostoboides 'Schirrmann's Nordlicht' is a dwarf that has a compact growth habit.  When young, Metasequoia glyptostoboides 'Schirrmann's Nordlicht' forms a small, mounded shrub with leaves highlighted silvery white, and with age becomes more upright but maintains its dwarf habit.  Metasequoia glyptostoboides 'Schirrmann's Nordlicht'  can be used in mass plantings, lakeside plantings, as a specimen and great in a mixed conifer garden.  Metasequoia glyptostoboides 'Schirrmann's Nordlicht' will tolerate a wide range of soil types but grows best in average to good garden soil with constant moisture and can be grown in areas that flood periodically.
