The ‘Luckiest’ Casinos On The Las Vegas Strip—According To A New Report

Following

There’s always something going on in Las Vegas, and that’s especially true now. The Sphere, an architectural wonder, is open for concerts. Fontainebleau, a 67-story luxury megaresort, will make its debut later this month. Then, in February 2024, Allegiant Stadium will host Super Bowl LVIII. But, of course, one of the most perennially popular things to do in Sin City is to gamble, and now, a new report from Casino.org, suggests which casinos may be the luckiest in Las Vegas.

Whether you’re a high roller or just like to spend $20 on the slots and cut your losses or collect your winnings, there’s dozens of casinos on the Las Vegas Strip and countless machines so knowing which one to choose is all a part of the luck quotient. Here’s some intel on where to find the best hotel casinos in Vegas if you’ve got 777’s on the mind.

Which Casino is the ‘Luckiest’ In Las Vegas?

To try and determine which casinos have the most frequent payouts, Casino.org relied on reviewers boasting about their winnings, and combed reviews of 15 popular casinos for terms that included: “lucky,” “luck,” “won,” “winning,” “success,” “jackpot,” and “hand pay.”

The analysts determined that The Mirage has the “luckiest” casino, with 6.03% of Tripadvisor reviews associated with a good luck experience. A tropical oasis in the desert, The Mirage is owned and operated by Hard Rock International and is known for its mock volcano that erupts nightly on the hour at 8 p.m., 9 p.m., 10 p.m., and 11 p.m.

“Mirage, mirage, on the wall, who’s the luckiest of them all?,” the Casino.org report says. “Our data reveals that The Mirage’s casino holds the highest probability of winning. It’s not just their artificial volcano that’s erupting nightly, because luck seems to be pouring across people’s Tripadvisor reviews.”

How Were ‘The Luckiest’ Casinos Determined?

When reviewing the data, the team at Casino.org calculated luck-related mentions from the casinos’ review pages, rather than factoring the Tripadvisor pages for the resorts. When tallying reviews, they made sure there weren't duplicate keywords within the same person’s reviews that got counted twice.

The data was collected in Nov. 2023.

Something to keep in mind when navigating the data: Some lucky winners might not want to share with the Internet where they hit it big or unveil too much about their favorite loose slots.

What Other Las Vegas are Considered Lucky?

While the Mirage boasted the highest luck-related TripAdvisor reviews, some others weren’t too far behind.

The Venetian—known for its canals and gondoliers inspired by Venice, Italy— was ranked the second luckiest casino on the strip. Of the 2,867 reviews taken into consideration, 5.92% had a positive luck sentiment, according to the Casino.org. The reviews also had the highest count of “jackpot” and “won” mentions overall.

The ARIA Resort & Casino came in at third with 5.55% of reviews mentioning the keywords associated with luck. ARIA’s casino, the analysts point out, had the highest mention of hand pay. (Typically, if you hit a jackpot of $1,200 or more, you’re paid out by hand, something that’s known as a handpay or hand pay).

Rounding out the top five luckiest Las Vegas casinos, according to the analysis, is The Cosmopolitan (No. 4) and Treasure Island (No. 5).
