Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 Is Real, Official Trailer

Following

It’s real.

A full 16 years after the last entry, the game widely viewed as the best in Dragon Ball Z history will have a successor. The official trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was revealed at the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour finals on Sunday and shared by several verified YouTube channels, including Gamers Prey.

Here is a look at the trailer (which features throwback footage and Goku evolving into Super Saiyan Blue form) that satiates a thirst almost two decades in the making:

While the Metacritic scores for the first three games in the series topped out at 7.3, the series maintains a massive cult following amongst diehard DBZ fans.

Because of the legendary status of the Budokai Tenkaichi series and the long wait in between releases, this announcement is about as big as it gets for the DBZ universe.

As of now, we don’t know which platforms the game will be available for, but it seems logical to expect Budokai Tenkaichi 4 to land on new-gen consoles whenever it is released.
