There is very little difference between male and female catbirds except the female is slightly paler in colour. This lady was obviously the partner of yesterday's Displaying Male Catbird and was responding accordingly to his advances. I have since found out that these birds imitate calls of jays, kingfishers, swallows, grosbeaks, and many songbirds and are also known as the Slate-coloured Mockingbird. This is the last of the Catbird series for the moment, but I am holding a few more back for a rainy day!
Many thanks for your C&Cs on my last upload with a special thank you to Phillip (PhillipMinnis) for the GEA
