One decade ago, a then-15-year-old, pre-twerking, Hannah Montana-era Miley Cyrus created a big Disney scandal when she was shot topless, covered in a blanket, by Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair. She issued a statement then, apologizing to her fans. “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," she said then via The New York Times. "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
