NCIS is set to celebrate its 1,000th episode by joining forces with NCIS: Hawai'i and NCIS: Los Angeles for a special crossover event.
According to TVLine, NCIS: Los Angeles' Special Agent Kensi Blye-Deeks (Daniela Ruah) and NCIS: Hawai’i's Special Agent Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) will appear in the hour-long episode, which will air on CBS on April 15.
However, it's been reported that they won't team up "in person" with the flagship show's DC-based team.

Spence Moore II will also star in the episode as Director Leon Vance's son.
Discussing the upcoming special with TVLine, NCIS co-showrunner David North said: "One of our own beloved characters is going to end up in grave danger, and you’re go to see all of the different franchises brought into this in a little bit of a different way."
Meanwhile, co-showrunner Steven D. Binder revealed that there will be "a personal storyline" that's set to "circle around Director Vance".
"We’re going to play plenty of homage to the past," North added, while Binder said they plan to scatter "some Easter eggs for long-time fans of the show".

The episode will mark Ruah's return as Kensi, with NCIS: Los Angeles having come to an end after 14 seasons last year.
However, the actress did recently step behind the camera to direct an episode of NCIS that will air this month, as well as an episode of NCIS: Hawai'i that will air in April.
"Kensi was born as a character on NCIS, 15 years ago, so now to be able to step onto that set again, as a director, with that incredible cast and crew, is an absolute honour," Ruah said. "So many familiar faces and people I love and they've welcomed me with open arms. It's like coming home."
NCIS airs on CBS in the US. Seasons 1-20 are streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
