Supernatural star Jared Padalecki has responded to a big Gilmore Girls anniversary by... apologising?!
The Sam Winchester actor responded to a tweet from Netflix's official Twitter account, which was celebrating the fact that the much-loved show was old enough to legally drink in America (if it were a person, of course) on Tuesday (October 5).
"Gilmore Girls premiered 21 years ago today introducing us to one of the greatest mother-daughter duos in television history, blessing us with endlessly quotable dialogue, and making generations long to live in the quaint yet wildly quirky Stars Hollow," read Netflix's tweet.

In response to that tweet, which featured several snaps from the show, Padelecki wrote: "Sorry about the teeth…And the forehead… ("five"-head?..?) Glad I grew into those," as he joked about his appearance on the hugely popular series.
Echoing all of our thoughts, Netflix then replied: "Zero apologies required, sir."
Padelecki appeared in 63 episodes of the original Gilmore Girls run as the character Dean Forrester. But that wasn't all! The star also returned for the 'Fall' episode of the revived series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
That run wasn't just about nostalgia, however, and rather than being a send-off for the show, though it ended a massive cliffhanger that hasn't been followed up on yet.
The reason for that is a simple one, according to creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who stated: "There's no [obstacle] behind it except for lives and people doing [other] things."

As for that other big show he starred in, Padelecki was involved in a bit of a drama recently when a Supernatural prequel series was announced, and he had no idea that it was happening.
Supernatural creator Eric Kripke issued an apology to the actor, explaining that he thought Padelecki knew about it, but obviously made a mistake.
Gilmore Girls and A Year in the Life are available to stream now on Netflix.
