TR Knight marries boyfriend Patrick in intimate ceremony... as his former Grey's Anatomy co-star Katherine Heigl 'jets in for nuptials'
Grey’s Anatomy alum TR Knight has married his longtime boyfriend Patrick.
The happy couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends in upstate New York, on Friday.
And the pair had a famous guest in attendance in the form of Katherine Heigl, who starred with Knight on their hit ABC medical drama for four years.

An insider revealed to Us Weekly that the affair was ‘very small and quiet’ with Heigl flying in for the fete.

The couple began dating three years ago, having gone public with their relationship in early 2010.
The 40-year-old thespian has been keeping busy by wowing audiences as Mercutio in an off-Broadway production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet in New York.

The actor co-stars in the play with such notables as Elizabeth Olsen and veteran William Hurt.
But none of his castmates were able to attend the wedding as it coincided with showings of the classic romance in the Big Apple, as Knight was forced to have his understudy replace him for Friday and Saturday night’s performances.
The same source explained: ‘[The] cast wishes they could go too, but they all congratulated him.’

Katherine, 34, however was in full attendance as she tweeted snaps from the celebration on Monday.
The actress excitedly captioned one of the photos: 'My bestie Chey and I perfecting our disenchanted fashionista pose before attending a wedding in upstate NY'.
Another snap featured Heigl in a celebratory montage with some of her friends as she wrote:'Having the time of my life at said wedding with @katewalsh @joshbkelley Kate's amazing fella Chris & my girl Chey!'

Knight shot to fame as accident prone Dr. George O'Malley on Grey’s Anatomy, who he played for four seasons.
O'Malley had a sibling-like relationship with Heigl’s character Izzie Stevens and it appears that the depth of the friendship poured over into their real lives as well.
The actor has been heating up the stage since he left the ABC series with a slew of off-Broadway productions and has made special guest appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Good Wife.
