The cooking competition finale saw fan favourites Billie McKay and Sarah Todd go head-to-head for the ultimate title of MasterChef.

It was Billie who emerged victorious, winning the hefty $250,000 cash prize after a 'mind blowing' final dish.

The pair were tasked with impressing Heston, each recreating an elaborate dessert from the five-star chef.

Hetson gave Billie a nine out of 10, telling the cook: 'Billie, I love the fact that I could feel the emotion in that dish. And it was delicious. Nine out of ten.'
