Shannen Doherty is opening up about her reported feud with Alyssa Milano nearly 17 years after their fantasy dramedy series, Charmed, ended. Alongside Holly Marie Combs, the duo played sisters/witches Prue, Phoebe, and Piper Halliwell from 1998 to 2006. Per Entertainment Tonight, Shannen reportedly exited the series after three seasons in 2001 due to “drama on set” with Alyssa.

Now, Shannen is getting real about the feud that ensued between her and Alyssa on the latest episode of her podcast, Let’s Be Clear With Shannen Doherty. Holly also joined in on the conversation as she was Shannen’s guest on the episode.

During the first season of Charmed, Holly had to undergo surgery because of a growing uterine tumor “the size of a baseball.” Shannen revealed that when she went to visit Holly in the hospital, Alyssa and her mom allegedly “blocked” her from doing so.

“I waited 24 hours after your surgery to go, and then it wasn’t even easy for me to get in. I was, like, being told I couldn’t even get in by Alyssa and her mom,” Shannen said. “They were blocking people from seeing you, and at the time, you didn’t know.”

She continued, “I remembered you texted me and were like, ‘Dude, are you going to come and see me?’ And I can feel like your pain of feeling like I’d abandoned you.”

“But I also felt like my anger at the situation of not being allowed to come see you, and like how sort of family had, like, swooped in and caused like this sort of weird divide between the two of us that then continued throughout season 2 where I think I cried every single night of season 2,” Shannen added, explaining her frustration with the rocky relationship that affected her work life.

Alyssa addressed her ongoing feud with Shannen and noted that they were “cordial” in 2021, allegedly DMing each other “every couple of months.” “I would say we are cordial,” Alyssa told Entertainment Tonight. “You know, I could take responsibility for a lot of our tension that we had. I think a lot of our struggle came from feeling that I was in competition rather than it being that sisterhood that the show was so much about. And I have some guilt about my part in that.”

During her latest podcast episode, Shannen responded to Alyssa’s 2021 claims. “I heard that she addressed [the competitiveness] in her book,” Shannen said, referring to Alyssa’s essay collection, Sorry Not Sorry. “Obviously, I’m never reading her book, because it’s Sorry Not Sorry. So right there. You know, it tells me you’re not freaking sorry.” 😬😬😬
