In case you haven't noticed, Britney Spears's ninth studio album is nowhere to be seen. But that will all change soon according to a new interview she gave E! News this week. It was conducted on the set of her new music video for the album's first single, "Make Me (Oooh)," so that's something, right? Regarding the untitled album, Britney says it's going to be "a little melodic, a little more not so poppy … it's kind of chill. Very chill." E! reports that "Make Me (Oooh)," a collaboration with rapper G-Eazy, will "likely" have a July release while her album is expected to drop in the fall. Here's Britney on the set of her video, which in her words, got "steamy." I'm definitely getting a "Work Bitch" meets "I'm a Slave 4 U" vibe here (and it's probably mostly due to all the hot, mostly naked men).

This latest update comes weeks after the Las Vegas Sun reported that Britney had planned on releasing her single in mid-May. Nothing happened, of course. But Britney did work her butt off at the Billboard Music Awards, where she performed a medley of her greatest treasures. She also looked amazing in two red carpet outfits that night.

Whatever happens, stand by Britney Army, #B9 is coming.
