Boating from Vyšší Brod to Krumlov

Do you dare set off from Krumlov on a day trip for real lovers of water sports on the busiest part of the Vltava River?

Every Krumlov boat rental shop will take you to the starting point in Vyšší Brod, and then you just enjoy a cruise back to Český Krumlov. Sounds good, don’t you think? If you don’t want to venture out on the river alone, you can opt for a trip with an instructor.

Trip route

The route starts under the dam in Vyšší Brod and continues to Rožmberk and Český Krumlov. During the cruise you will pass a total of 9 weirs and, after about 6 to 8 hours, you will reach your destination, from where the rental shop staff will pick you up at a pre-agreed time or after you give them a call.. We recommend anchoring only after having passed through Krumlov (e.g. in Kemp Krumlov), so that you do not miss any of the sights. Tackle another 4 weirs on Krumlov and see the most beautiful part of the city from the water’s surface. You will not go hungry or thirsty during this long trip, as there are many options for refreshments along the entire route.
