Built at the end of the 19th century, the Great Market Hall or Central Market Hall is the largest and oldest indoor market in Budapest, Hungary. The market offers a huge variety of stalls on three floors. The entrance gate is with neogothic touch. Most of the stalls on the ground floor offer large selection of sausages, meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables, pastries, candies, spices and spirits such as paprika, tokaji, túró rudi, and caviar. The second floor has mainly food stands and plenty of vendors selling handicrafts, clothing, embroidery, chessboards and other souvenirs.
