About: In late May we head out to the forest as a team to gather the strobiles which are filled with golden grains of pollen ~ We spend full days in the spring light and air, and we are literally covered with the bright yellow powder at the end of the day ~ and totally enlivened! It tastes of the forest ~ piney and delicious! The pollen grains of Scots Pine contain a wide range of micro-nutrients that are known to support immune and endocrine function while enhancing metabolism. The pollen is also a source of plant sterols that facilitate the body’s ability to make its own hormones, positively affecting muscle tone. Scots Pine Pollen has also been found to help the body’s detoxification processes, acting as an anti-oxidant; improving circulation while decreasing inflammation.  No wonder we feel so energized after gathering this wondrous pollen!
