Over 1300 meters long, this is the longest still-standing section of the Berlin Wall - one of the most prominent symbols of the division of Europe by the Iron Curtain after the Second World War. With over 100 open-air paintings, The Wall Museum East Side Gallery is said to commemorate the gaining of freedom and the hope for better future. One of the most prominent paintings to be seen here is the kissing scene of Brezhnev and Honecker.
